The Black Fleet « Thread Started on Jul 18, 2008, 10:48pm »
In my mind as a Ref I have never seen a player role play such an "instance of events" as Roman did with the Klingons in the original B5 game.
Picking up the pieces of a fallen nation mid game, Roman and also Maverick (Quo Chi 'Resistance Leader" ) fought with honor, courage, and distinction in that old campaign against all odds and superior nation alliances.
Even in defeat they managed to maintain a level of honor that exceeded their foes. No player in that game ever denied the Klingons their honor!
The fragments of the remaining Klingon nation (to become known as the Black Fleet) still haunt the Centauri. The Black Fleet is still used as a warning to wayward children that stray from parental authority. "Careful little one, else the Black Fleet will find you!"
The Fleet will live in infamy till many of us are in our graves.
Not only is it a mythic fable but some say it is a reality,... 25 years later!!!!
The Earth Alliance has seen proof the fleet lives and still seeks its glory days !!

Hmmm, Minbari intelligence tells us that the Black Fleet was defeated in battle by the Centauri. We have declassified our intelligence for others to see.

Klingon Black Fleet Commander Admiral Malex the Brutal Bastage of Bologna sat reading the ISN Daily News Blotter.... Clearly bored out of his mind and recently over the Detox effects of his lack of Klingon Bloodwine (and the resulting excitement of the bloodbath that resulted in the deaths of 13% of his crew) Malex was keeping his mind busy. He reached page 31 Line 275 of the ISN Shipping Reports and sat up in the Commanders Chair. He reread the line...
"... The Armed Priority Transport Souvlaki travelling in the vicinity of Sol (Earth) evading an invading force of Cylons, observed an unusual Space Wormhole appearing from no where. The observed a huge unidentified object emerging from this wormhole. The resulting ElectroMagnetic Subspace disturbance rendered communications useless. The crew of the Souvlaki reported this in a garbled broken up message which punched through the subspace disturbance a few seconds before all transmissions ceased. Due to the hostile nature of the region no ISN News Vessels are available to validate this report.
Malex, put down the flexi-screen with the news. He commanded his Communications Officer, "Get me Dr Dre on the line... He's gonna wanna know about this. Just when I thought we had things under control..."
