To: Section 9 intelligence section. From: Federation Intel rec sources office. Subject: Subspace intercepts. #1' Our fleet in section[glow=red,2,300]@3^^4 is moving toward th[glow=red,2,300]#$%#^#&&*%*( [/glow] expect to have reports back soon." #2"Report from Max[glow=red,2,300]!@#!@$@#%^#^ [/glow]We are in position and have tapped into the Lyran sensor buoy network. " #3" Confirmed reports of a battle in [glow=red,2,300]!@#!$$[/glow] involving the "P.A.M" Mirak fleet, and advanced elements of the Lyran defense forces.
Sir, sorry for the breaks in the intercepts. But our sensors ,still need to attune to the Lyran space anomalies. It is clear however that a Romulan fleet or fleets led by a commander, believed to be Maximus Plasma. Is indeed in lyran space. Or the the neutral zone. Perhaps even already entering Mirak space. And that they have, Lyran senors buoy logs to aid them . Advise we forward this information to our Gorn ambassador. so he may advise them of the situation.

Sir, Ensign Tula here. We've intercepted some strange messages for the past weeks but this one takes the cake. Could be just some civilian traffic but... take a listen. F.I./rso Transcript DLY3436 Stardate 2654/45 "The Blue Dog is in the Clouds. The Skies are Clear. Will Search for the Bones. Repeat: The Blue Dog is in the Clouds. The Skies are Clear. Will Search for the Bones."
What do you advise, Sir? Should we send this on up the chain?

F.I./rso Transcript DLY3499 Stardate 2654/47 Intercepted open broadcast from Mirak fleet units. Appears to be mass singing of Kzin ancient wartime victory song. Our Feline PsychoAnalytical Specialist here has evaluated this information. Mirak capital fleet is believed to be very encouraged by early successes and in an aggressive mood. Appraisal of situation is that they seem likely to continue into Lyran Territory. Message Forwarded to SFHQ. Signed: Ensign Kha'Zhakk'K'iikk Federation Deep Space Intel-Recon Detachment 31

From: federation Intel Rec sources office to: section 9 Federation Intelligence Office Subject Mirak lyran war/ Romulan subterfuge
Sir we have been pursuing leads on the role of the romulans in the war between the Lyrans and the Mirak. We have confirmed the presence of At least two romulan fleets. Under the command of Sub admiral Maximus. we also have discovered an incomplete trail of possible evidence pointing to manipulation by the romulans . In starting this conflict. We suspect that they hope, that the present situation. Grows into a larger war . Forcing the Klingon empire to support the Lyrans. Knowing full well that, the Federation would then be forced to support the Mirak. Since the Gorn also have the fleets involved. This may well be the justification, they are looking for. To launch attacks into the Gorn confederation. It appears they were responsible for the presence of the the previous Lyran leader on the peace Fleet, the evidence mentioned earlier in the report "see annex-a" attached. They were well aware of the bad blood between the emperor and the commander of the Mirak fleet. As soon as we can can confirm , this evidence. We will transmit it, to the the ISN. So the entire galaxy ,will know the truth. And hopefully bring an end to the current war. However this may take some time . The Tal'Shair have covered their operations well.

to: Romulan Consuelate, lyra prime From : Commander Maximus To his highness ambassador, Kloer,Vicyums. Sir we have been on station at the base in 1612, The Lyran forces in the northen sectors have fought bravely. However the Miraks use of a battle tug combined with a command cruiser and a support ship. Proved to much for them to handle. The Miraks continue on thier pomgrom into Lyran space. I have decided to aid our Lyran allies by defending the local base. If you don't hear back from me . Please send word to my widow and 2 sons. Maximus . "long live the empire"

To: romulan consulate,Lyra Prime From: Commander maximus To: Kloer Vicymus, Ambassador, there will be no need to contact my family. My fleet was successful in destroying the Miraks. However the base was lost. My command fleet suffered some light damage. nothing that will require retuning to the empire for repairs however. Our sensors show, the presence of still more Mirak fleets nearby. Having seen the interaction between their weapons technology and our own. I feel that we stand a reasonable chance of success in any future battles. How goes the war on the rest of the front? We do not receive much information that is not screened by the Lyrans . So i would like to hear back from your office as to your views on this war. Rumor has it that the Miraks are winning . That this is the 2nd base destroyed by them and that they still have a Large DN fleet in the center. I would urge you ,to use your connections back home to find out if the Klingons will aid the Lyrans. I believe we should move ahead . With the next step of our operation, Sideshow.

To: Admiral Maximus
It is good to hear from you again. When it is possible I would like to review the recordings of this battle. Do not worry about this Base station being lost. it was being used as bait to taunt these foolish cats into an ambush. I do bring good news, our freight eagle slipped past the federation and klingon sensor nets with a load of spare parts for your ships. If this turns into a longer engagement than we expect it may become useful. We are pressuring the Klingon ambassador into action but as you know he is a..... stubborn individual. Once the Gorn become involved it should only be a matter of a week before they swarm over the boarder. The rest of the plan is going better than expected. Our agents are fully in place and are shadowing their respective targets. And the fleets are in position to silence our neighbors once and for all. If things go as we plan you will probably be awarded a gold eagle for you efforts. Take care and good hunting.
