As Ho Chi Meee Ooow listened to the battle brief, he wondered if today in his first battle, he would have the opportunity and honor to give one of his lives for our Liege Meow Zedong...
A feeling of unease settled over the crew of the Fvai Hkellian as Ho Chi issued final battle preparations. Never before had Ho Chi entered battle. Today would be his first test.
As the Mirak fleet entered sensor range Ho Chi heard over the comm, "This is Meow Zedong, I want a tight formation. Prepare for victory!"
"Helm bring the Fvai Hkellian right on top of the Roi Chat."
"Right on top sir??"
"Right on top!!!! Just like the Roi Chat was the prettiest little puddy you ever had!" Ho Chi purred and smiled as he recalled the send off his favorite puddy gave him. Ho Chi reluctanly returned to the present as the forward screen brought up the Mirak Fleet.
"Meow Zedong, this Ho Chi Meee Ooow. What is the target?"
"Ho Chi, we will take out the Mirak Dreadnought. Prepare to engage the target."
"Weapons target the dreadnought. We are going to tame that Warchild as though he were our unwanted redheaded stepchild!"
The Helmsman shivered as he recalled the treatment he received as a redheaded stepchild, and he was wanted!!!
The battle raged for what seemed for hours before Ho Chi finally heard the words he so desperately wanted to heard. "Ho Chi, prepare for our first run on the target!" The crew purred loudly as the Fvai Hkellian initiated the run. ESG's slammed and disruptor blasted and all was well. One, two more such runs and the Warchild was tamed.
"Now we can grind the other Mirak ships up at will!" meowed Shalafi.
First was Cmdr Malex, one run and he had too much heartburn and literally exploded.
Lastly, the infamous Pita. Ho Chi wonder 'How many lives does that cat have anyway!' But today, today Pita had a special treatment in store. Ho Chi purred with delight at the thought.
The grand Lyran fleet covered him with so much Preparation H, Pita went away all by himself.
Victory was ours!!! Long live the Chairman!!!

Ayy, that was a battle and a half ! The Mirak side defiantly lost its fleet cohesion and paid dearly for it.
Hats off to the patient Lyrans, like all their strategies panning out, they are preparing for a LONG war and long battles. Wearing the aggressive Mirak and drones down, drawing them into Lyran space away from repair facilities, etc.
That Peace Accord fleet was the Creme De La Crop. Legendary ships, sent to Davies Locker! That fleet had also been targeted for destruction by the Lyran revenge fleets.
Well,... I guess it is not over till the fat lady sings,....
Dfly will not be happy when he returns from vacation to hear the Scott and Roman hacked the Warchild's March fleet !!!
Gulp,.. no milk for us,...

Ho Chi Mee oowww,... I wanted to target you all game cause you were the smallest and most prone to ranged fire. You thwarted me and our team the entire game,.. I liked your post too ! A fine addition to the fleet, and to the forums, congratulations as the BeNPA (best new player award) in a while.
Shalafi Your lone wolf tactics were scary to us at the least, and at the most category, cost us the CL.
Mav great job commanding the fleet, overall tactics (when to maintain the fleet and let some go), and having that DN ship resist our fire, pretty much our fleet fire, most of the game.
You're bastards ,.. all of you !!
Was the Lyran Emperor on that Fleet? It was commanded by Mav so the odds are roughly 50/50. I bet I can tell the answer to my ? by querying the Mirak leader and carefully examining his flag ship compared to what we fought. Guess is, the ref set them equally in BPV at game start. We should be able to make a 80% guesstimate.

No that fleet was a Peace Accord creation battle fleet, an extra fleet for the 12 ship (6 stack vrs 6 stack) kick off battle fleet action given to both nations at start. Although the commander that fired first and started the war,.. he was killed. So the Lyrans can avenge the RCB executer !!! Warchild's persona,.. who has been in command/ordering this fleet to march to the sea and burn everything in its path is lurking on another ship. I hear he is near though

Yeah, Grumble Grumble. OK Hoe Cheese Me Ouch! You creamed us like Corn My Dumpy Rustbucket wasn't easily able to keep up at all with my allies, a liability overlooked before the battle. All I could do was obey increasingly irrational orders and follow the leader to destruction. Still, I was filled with pride when Shalafi informed me I did in fact get internals upon him... Oh, and yes, I found my ship could run speed 28 absolute maximum when I tested it to death: provided I turned off all ECM, ECCM, Shield Reinforcement, Disruptors, and Not Arming any Probes, and HELL, even the Holodeck and Replicator. SO if I was of any use at speed 28 with a couple of phasers and drones then... Grumble.

We had to do something to ruffle Warchilds usually calm feathers... because the way things were going the first 10 minutes we were all slowly loosing shields to the distuptor fire...
