Ummm...yes...it drives me waco not being able to track ships and other things...hence why I made up the map....
of course as others have already pointed out...the coordinates are off...the even columns should be down one...but numbering is very extensive and time consuming and I was not going to renumber to match the real map.

looks like i need cybermap 101.! i have been trying to figure out how to place the ship "chits"on the map ? also i thought about making a map from scratch but that seems to a lost cause too! But i see the guy who designed the map is from my home town here in wisconsin! and that is only 15 miles away. What a small world!

I use CBDesign to view and manipulate the map.
On the toolbar, click on the "Tile Palette." This will bring up all the chits to the right. Click on the drop down list. Choose your race/nation or if you are placing some other nations' ships/objects choose them.
This will bring up the chits for that nation, then just click and drag the chit onto the map. Presto!!!

Knowing that Cyberboard, uses a turn based style to track movement. would there be any interest in using it for a future campaign? For instance instead of all of us entering our turns on a set date. CB allows it to be run by nations, one at a time. And it makes it much easier to track your ships and others as well. It can be used to show damaged units as well. And custom Chits to represent items. I would like to have a chat on TS with the group about this. Ho-Chi and i used this system in our STOC group for its campaign game.

The catch is that means one nation moves 3 then you do,.. the concept of simultaneous movement gets troublesome. I explored this a while ago and my only solution was that a turn becomes one impulse.
I was unsure after that conclusion if it should be explored more, and retired the project.

Well it still seems like a great ref tool for tracking movement and repair. ;D

very similar to what was used in several other campaigns my TSC group was involved in, it seems. Each turn was a single turn, not 3 impulses per turn. We also got the turn done every 3 days, though it could be set to longer periods of time. We were allowed only a single hex movement per turn though. It did allow for more interaction and very MUCH less time between setting things up. The fact that our teams were a bare minimum of 3 people/team also helped, so that if 1 or 2 were away, the other/s could carry out the orders for movement on a timely manor. I would not be against trying a campaign of this design with you guys.

Whew i see what you mean by time consuming to # the hexes. I have been working on making a map from scratch. Entering those hex #'s one at a time is a beeatch! The other problem i am having is figuring out how transfer your map counters and race counters. So i can place the terrain, and have the ships bases and misc available for use. I am such a computer caveman! Homer Simpson got nothing on me! Is there any chance of getting together on TS and having you walk me, through some of this?
