What exactly is trying to be automated? Can someome let me know or direct me to the thread.

Currently the Ref handles the fleet interactions impulse by impulse with a master map and markers, keeping track of all fleets and announcing contacts/battles.
Blade is trying to work on finishing a system that does it with PHP coding, automatically mailing out contact/battle info. So the ref would just click do impulse 1.
The limits to our game are the human ref and what he can manage. Automation could push our player limit up to 30-50 conceivably ??
You would enter fleet data and turn orders via a web interface.
It would radically change the game, but may never get finished. It is very complicated to do.

Great! We could use a scripter!. Check out the documentations on your "OP API - R2.1" folder on your OP root. Its all C++. Play around with it. There are some examples and commented code. I'm sure there's some extra documentation on the web somewhere .
