The Captain looked out the stateroom window,.. nearby in formation,... there "It",..... was. The flag and pride of the fleet. The Captain sneered in disgust, it even had a look of pestilance to it. The hull was dark like the blackness of space and radiated a arua of evil, the ship was truely was an abomination.

It was no suprise that in the last 3 months that "It" had changed commanders 3 times. Rumor was,.. they all went mad, some resigned,.. others caught talking to Shadows, most just wanted off the "thing". So it was that Sheridans pick of commanders had "left". Now it was Ho Chi's "choosen ones" time to command the vessel. Rumor was,.. Sheridan had taken command of the latest mighty EA vessel off the contruction dock and taken overall command of the strategic defense of the EA core worlds against ISC counter attacks. So it had become official,.. Ho Chi had been passed the cursed vessel,.... his to wage war and peace with.

The Captian thought long and hard,.. at least with Sheridan there was some restraint,.. now with Ho Chi and his Neocon ways,.. what would stop this vessel from bringing destruction to the Galaxy?

The fleet moved forward,... its orders locked,.. no comms,.. soon it would begin in earnest.

"Peace Through War,.. So, Say, We All" was the motto, but few believed the drilled chant.

All knew what was coming,... another great battle,.. and likely another nations capital would come under attack,.. and fall,.. another round of endless bombardments,.. another occupation,.. and ,.....

Unconfirmed reports from unnamed sources indicate the fanatical, cloned entity formerly known as Sheridan, now known as The Sheridan Clones (aka The Sheridan Clowns) is expanding his/their galactic domination through violent submission of neighboring states. So the Lyrans declare war on us. And we are held to blame? We have one ship attempt to set itself up as a picket within 3 sectors of our home world. And we suddenly were the bad guys? But gave you every opportunity to withdraw in a face saving manner.
So the record is also clear here. Even though our ship notified the Lyrans that since they took offense at the proximity of our ship to their home-world. It would disengage itself . They have opted to pursue it.
So Just who is really the aggressor here? One ship , alone on picket duty?
Or the 3 ships sent to not only intercept it. but then to pursue it in a attempt to destroy it.

Considering the LYRANS have not ENCROACHED on any of your sites, but you send a SCOUT(guessing) ship within 2 hexes of the LYRAN HOMEWORLD, of course you would be persued. HECK if it was YOUR homeworld, and a single lyran ship appeared, YOU would certainly persue it.
ONUS is on the Roms, and they certainly cant prove they were not looking onto the LYRAN homeworld, UNLESS they wish to show their turn orders to prove otherwise EHEHE.

Once again the death frogs paranoia manifests itself. Your presumptions of our actions or perhaps a better term reactions to a hypothetical situation is interesting.
As the history has already proved. The Romulan Empire is not as hasty to react as the Lyran nation.
We have already had one nation occupy one of our sites. And through negation we averted any war.
So we then took steps to ensure of at least a warning of any encroaching ships.
Yes we would demand an explanation for the presence of any uninvited guests. Who wouldn't? Oh yeah the Lyrans.
But as for an immediate attack ,no that probably would not be the case.
Fess up fly-eater. the Lyrans have overreacted. And now are not willing to simply back down . Be it loss of face or whatever reason. This war is of their making! Funny are the pointy-ears, assuming they know what is the Lyran's responses. You have no idea if the Lyrans would back down, you have not asked, yet you find when Lyrans react and not ask, to be improper, so the Romulans are now improper.
