Just to inform the outside world .... the romulans have showed up a mere 2 hexes from the Lyran home world. I consider this an act of war. We will be dealing with the intruders in an appropriate fashion. I wonder if the Romulans are going to try and do us what they and others did to the ISC? This pearl harbor will not be surprise.

This does sound disturbing: But no harm has been done by this.
It is quite possible the Romulans are there to trade ale, for pelts,.. or such. Maybe the comms system is down. It happened to our nation when the Olympia arrived at Earth.
I am sure the Romulans would not attack a peaceful nation like the Lyran, yours is the one nation that has avoided combat with other nations (yes the vorlon thing was most unexpected). You have done nothing to warrent such an attack. The Earth Alliance is proud of Lyrans control over their combat emotions,.. even if you wish to eat us humans!
The Romulans are a noble race, and would not seek to just go about blatantly attacking other races for no reason. That would be highly uncharacteristic of the Romulan nation that I know well, and am firmly allied with.
Sheridan,.. "Maximus Plasmus,.. what are you doing on the other side of the Vorlon Nebula?"
Sheridan,.. to security detail,.. "Find the Romulan Ambass,... "
Security,.. "He seems to have vanished Sir, he was in his stateroom, he never left, but now he is not in there, we have searched!"

The Romulan presence, is not meant as a threat to any player nation. as you may or may not be aware. The Romulan Empire has had encounters with unfriendly non player ships. These ships have occupied romulan colonies. We are merely attempting to set up an advance picket to supply our Empire adequate time to respond to the non player incursions on our worlds. If you think our intentions were otherwise . We would like to point out. that um, stealth is not really a problem for our ships. and we could have gotten closer without your knowing if that had been our intent. However, You have stated that you consider this a act of war. We do not consider ourselves at war with your nation. And will not strike at the Lyran nation or any of it's holdings. I received a email that states you are going to PI a fleet of three ships to attack our ship. I would of thought diplomacy . Could have settled this. If you had asked, why we there. And simply requested our ship to leave "Your" space. We would have explained what it was doing there. And we also would of left, so as not to alarm your nation. So everyone knows i will state here and now. That the Romulan ship in that is at issue here. Has been ordered to disengage. However if the Lyran nation pursues it . It will be on the lyrans head that war may well indeed develop. So now it's up to the Lyrans. Maximus Plasma.

This is getting complicated,...
Sheridan,.. "Where is HO CHI!"
LOL
We beg that these nations do not go to war. Soon we face Shalafi and his Empire,.. do not waste ships and homeworlds on a petty war. Did not Dfly's choices not teach anyone?
DON'T DO IT!!
Sheridan,.. "The first person to fire a weapon in combat will face the,.. "
The comms go dead,... nearby,.. Ho Chi releases the Mute button.
VP Ho Chi,.. "Mr. President,... Ready room, whiskey, now!"
LOL

The Federation joins those who protest this war. It is unjust, and unnecessary. Whatever faults the Lyrans may have they did not provoke a war. While the Federation does not like fighting, it will contribute ships to a peacemaking fleet.

The ISC seem to cause trouble wherever they go, so they will be visiting Romulan ale houses throughout the Romulan homeworlds for intrusions on Lyrans.

Ah well i have been hearing the threats of the ISC. Since the Romulan empire upheld it's treaty obligations. Even though since that one battle. The Romulan Empire has done nothing to the ISC. However should they require some of our ale. They are most assuredly, welcome to try and get it! .

Replying for the LYRANS, in abscence of WARP:
IT is strongly believed that the Romulans purposely set that ship in motion, hoping to start a war by simply getting spotted. AS the Emperor Maximus clearly pointed out in his own words: "[glow=red,2,300]If you think our intentions were otherwise . We would like to point out. that um, stealth is not really a problem for our ships. and we could have gotten closer without your knowing if that had been our intent[/glow]."
Therefore, IF they wished strictly to look out for incoming ships from other races without raising an alarm, they could have done it. INSTEAD they left their ship out to be seen, on purpose. Purpose to start wars, in the eyes of those who see the scout ship only 2 hexes from a homeworld, when that same ship could have been cloaked. IT is decreed that Romulans purposely started this encounter solely to give them reason to attack Lyrans, which most likely they already have ships deployed to do so.

The weakness of your argument is transparent. [glow=red,2,300]IT is strongly believed that the Romulans purposely set that ship in motion, hoping to start a war by simply getting spotted[/glow] If that is so why did they not just ask publicly for us to withdraw it. Or a explanation for its presence? You then go on to quote me. And i think what i posted is quite clear. And just proves that there was no hostile intent. But instead the Lyrans have acted in a hostile and aggressive manner. Fact #1 the ship moved there openly no attempt to evade detection. Fact #2 the lyrans PI an interception fleet of 3 ships. Fact #3 The lyrans never asked for the withdrawal of the ship. Fact#4 The lyrans never asked why the ship was there or if it was going to be moving on to a destination out of there space. Fact #5 The romulan empire not only explained the reason for its presence. But also disengaged it so as to avoid any conflicts. Fact#6 The Lyrans contested the withdrawal, and attempted to pursue it. Fact #7 The Lyrans declared war on the Romulan Empire.
The lyrans stating that they were bated into starting this war? As the above facts prove this is just so much propaganda. Therefore, it is with a sadden heart that the Romulan Empire hereby formally declares that any Lyran ships or ally of the Lyran nation found in Romulan space. will not be given any warning to remove themselves. and will be attacked. We once again call for he Lyrans to withdraw their hasty declaration of war upon our empire. We have not and do not have any offensive actions planned against them. The statement that we have ships ready to deploy against them is a completely false. We are prepared to defend our Empire. at all costs. So as we asked before . Will you stand down ,From this madness?

We also join in,... and ask the Lyrans to retract the declaration of war.
This action should defuse the situation enough for all parties involved,.. and at the very least stop the EA from being dragged into it kicking and screaming.

There we go, now the Romulans finally ask for Lyrans to recind the act of war. That was all you had to do. Act of war vs Romulans is formally cancelled. We ask that no more Romulan ships enter near Lyran homeworld without written permission in advance, cloaked or not.

Excellent . see a little diplomancy can work wonders. So as to prolong the peace we also request that no Lyran ships enter romulan space.

Sheridan,.. "The war is averted,.. Ok send new orders to cancel the other orders and send the ships back to where they were going,.." Comms,. "Is that an order to cancel the cancelled orders,.. so you want us to send the ships back to where they were going before the cancel? Or are we cancelling the earlier cancelled orders,.. ?" Far off in the depths of space the EA ships are on a back and forth zig zag pattern,.. one they are very accustomed to when Sheridan is giving orders,.. in fact it is a programmed manuever now on all EA ships.
