We tested a 10 ship battle tonight,... too much lag, as much as I want to see it, I would vote no

I wouldn't go that far George, but yes it was bad lag. Horrific is when the game blows up for someone.
My belief that moving to 6 ships/fleet would result in possibly thining our player pool. Mostly for that reason I would reject on grounds of the common good.
Maybe someday connections will improve even more. Not too many years ago the guys dreamed of a time where the majority have were not on dial up. We are there now but still there is a bit more room for improvement.
Give it a few years and we will see 6 ships fleets and I predict, if our group stays going, 9 ship fleets.
I am also going to step out on a limb and suggest (this was done by me often) that when this game ends we have a two month break in the gaming pace. A time to spend with family, fall weather, practice, other gaming, etc
This benifits us all for a number of reasons at least in my view. Fall is an active time with much to do, the winter start is a great time to fire up a game.
I am very curious what the teams game is like? I experimented with it briefly a while ago, the shortest game I ran (it was the training campaign). It was very different dynamic with the teams. Fun but I bet I will miss the politics. Maybe there will be within team politics? Who knows.
Again and thank you George for running the game. I know what it takes and I tip my hat to you. I speak for all us who just get to enjoy the game, whatever we all find fun in it.
