I need someone to tell me the solution to my problem. In SFC OP, I can get to the "choose game" screen, but no game ever shows up.
I have DSL, I never had problems when I was dialup. What settings do I need to change/make to get the game to work.

I don't know much but suspect an IP addy problem or simply a firewall issue? Unknown. Let other reply cuz I'm no expert, LOL.

PLease let us know your operating system. And please, tell us it is XP, not that new crap eheh.
Also if you have the wrong patch (you need 2.5.5.2) the room will not show
Also, unless you have properly entered the IP, and the host has the room up when you attempt to join, you will not see the room
Also, if you have too tight a security, and firewalls, or a router firewall, you may not see the room
If you are available right now, as I see you on the forums, jooin me in TS, and I will attempt to get you "hooked up". TS = teamspeak, and I see you there. I am in room with you, please contact me

If there is a router (do you have more than one PC connected to the internet?) then that is likely the issue.

I spent a good amount of time with him last night. He does have a router issue. He has an external modem/wireless router combo. He will need to read up on how to DMZ for a comp, how to drop the firewall on the router, how to forward ports, or whatever else he may need to do so he can play.
Someone else here will have to help him on this issue as I dont have the knowhow for this. I have done all I can to ensure he has what he needs, and his TS is working properly.

Me or Scott can probably get him up and running with the router... (Scott I'd internally Static IP him within his router so we wouldn't have to worry about his IP shifting after he gets DMX'd)

Ya I have had to fight with routers plenty and can help him.
Hey what you need to do is figure out the router's admin username and password if you do not already know it. This will mean googling the model and downloading the PDF manual to find the default by the factory. We need to get in and tamper with its settings.
most routers you go to (in explorer address bar) 192.168.1.1 or 0.1 and then you should get a login page.
Try admin, admin as user and pass.
Anyways when you get in get on TS and I or someone can set you up.
