The players get six impulses of movement turns 10 and 11. The portal opens end of turn 11, impulse 1 of turn 12 is the big battle.
Ya that was poorly explained.
The game is set up so that most all players could if they choose move a fleet from their capital to jump point in the needed time.
The information of the time of Shadow rise is due out with a cut and copy this eve.

Question: To take advantage of the 12 ship stacking limit do we need to jump from Kosh's gate or can we just move into ZHD on imp 1 turn 12?.

You can just move into ZHD his advanced race ship allows for an overstack so where ever his ship is allows for the overstack.
When he arrives you can also simulatneously arrive on the same impulse and be in the hex.
He also does not follow the stacking rules of say one DN or X CA's with DN's so it will be quite the free for all.

Jeeps Van, your starting to sound like the EA prez Plenty of Shadow fighting as this game closes down in one big furious series of Shadow battles, finsihing with a 18 ship mega battle. The details of the capital battles posted this eve when I get home. You will all actually be rolling on a table to see what rises. Good luck !

So far as we know, is the minefield still an issue?
Do ships that jump in with Kosh have to roll to see if they hit mines?
Do ships that move in normally have to reoll to see if they hit mines?
Little details, y'know. Because if the minefield is still active, it's possible that half the fleet that jumps in could be destroyed before the battle actually begins. Statistically, it should be 2 ships that hit mines, and suffer 60% damage each. Real life seldom cooperates with probabilities, though.

There is a comment within the writeup for Za Ha that says the Vorlon Ship is immune to the mines... question is does that carry over to the people jumping with him and more importantly the people that would be moving in on their own... which from my understanding will be the majority of the ships.
(I"m digging through my e-mails for the Za Ha writup now)

Shadow Home World:
The Shadow home world is a desolate and evil feeling place, it also feels like your not alone here as if being watched. The home world is a barren and war torn world with little or no life upon it.
This system was the place of a massive battle not that long ago (many months?). Scattered about are the wrecks and pieces of Vorlon and Shadow ships. By the massive amount of wrecks the battle was absolutely Titanic in scale. Pieces of Vorlon Battleships tumble in space. The legs of Shadow vessels drift about. Pieces of moon and planetary debris litter the hex.
It is a question as to which side won the battle.
The Shadows foreseeing this assault also laced the hex with inordinate amounts of Shadow mines.
Each vessel will roll and on a roll of 1 on a 1-6 the ship will suffer damage 20-120 % 2xd6 x 10 %. If the Vorlon is present it is immune from rolling due to super sensors.

I read that as Vorlon is immune, no others. Good thing we have a lot of ships.
