This topic will have to come up eventually,...
I went to modify the master L/K map and removed the Lyran BATS recently killed to the south.
It was at that time that I realized - there simply are no more bases in the southern half of Lyran. - In the entire nation I see only 1 BATS left! and 2 BS - Ships destroyed are roughly 2 to 1 favoring Mirak
Just from a building stand point the Mirak are out producing the Lyran significantly each turn, and that gap is getting much wider.
Even though the Lyran have had some notable victories overall I personally feel that there is no longer any hope for a Lyran victory.
On that note do others feel the same way and are just staying quiet?
Might it be time to consider giving Shalafi more time to ramp up B52 rather than spend hours resolving turns for this game ?
Just looking to hear what is going on in other folks heads.

All honesty I am having fun in the game, when I got a.s.s whipped and my fleets wrecked I had a nation behind me step in with money, guns and lawyers. Huge flagship now, etc. It is easy to have fun if your Mirak.
My worry is that the Lyran players do not see it from my perspective. We must all be aware of that.

I am not happy with a poll about this coming out. It can give the wrong impression and message to the Lyrans, and even the Mirak pilots. Showing that you may feel it is over by polling it is a "faux pas" in my opinion. I do understand why you are asking this Scott, but it may rub people the wrong way. I feel it should be up to the Lyrans to decide on their own(most specifically the leader after talking to his crew) if they feel it is near over, or if they wish to continue even if or when they may or may not feel close to defeat. Perhaps this poll will give them the push they need to make a comeback, who knows. I will abstain from voting on this issue reguardless of how I feel about it.

It seems a little pre-mature to suggest the war is lost for the lyrans. Look at couple of recent battles where they have destroyed a DN and CBT fleet with no ships lost and little damage. If I was a Lyran (and inside I am) there is no way I would quit now. I would force you to take me out instead of taking the easy way out...but that is just my nature. If any lyran is down in the dumps and ready to give up I would gladly change places with them if allowed by the ref. I love a challenge..... Did I mention that I have almost no ships left lol ;D

I would think every Mirak would say continue, it is the Lyrans I wonder about,.. and in truth most of that team does not even use the boards here and will likely not vote also. Like I say I am having a fun time, I just worry they are not. It is also important to discuss this in case I am correct. If I am incorrect then no harm done unless folks precieve discussing something like this hurtful. I will predict that the course of this game is set and will gladly play along until someone kicks Mav in the balls hard enough to make his sing LOL Speaking of which we seem to be stuck and I have no understanding of what we are waiting for? Course I have not read the other threads yet today
