Cut and copy had me laughing
Your post reminds me of something that happened to me at a convention many years ago. I got into a "pick up" game with another attendee, someone I had never met before. We were fighting a duel (I was Fed, he was Klingon) and we agreed to "standard rules". But the group I was gaming with back in those days used plotted movement as the "standard", while this guy gamed with a group that used free movement.
I was getting hammered. His maneuvers were too perfect. I assumed he must be cheating, as he always managed to postion himself just right. He also seemed to be getting increasingly annoyed at me. Finally, as I executed a plotted turn that exposed a down shield, he asked in complete exasperation "Why did you do THAT?. I answered, equally exasperated "Because that's what I PLOTTED. We looked at each other and broke out laughing, as we simultaneously realized what had actually happened with the game.
