We have met all together in a hex.
We have tried to negotiate, with no response.
It is well past the 2 days to make calls on what is up. As stated we have declared a disengagement roll as default action.
My question is,.. if Blade gives no reponse what is the default,.. does that mean no pursuit and auto Dis?
I would like to try to resolve if I have to fight by Sunday night,.. if that is not possible that is Ok but that is what I would like to shoot for. As I said he is well past 2 days to reply.
Does he even roll for pursuit if he is absent or is default to let us go.
I am hopeing to push on the rules and say if he is absent that long,.. that we get away with his roll for pursuit not being given. He must choose to decide if he pursues either my fleet of the Mimbari one? We have a split disengagement. Blade has a split pursuit option. I have seen no answer on any options well past the deadline.
When he defaults what happens?
Refs?

By default he would does nothing... which means that both you and Todd would escape with no rolls needed....

Yes if he would does nothing then that would be fine.
To be honest I would does enjoy dialogue with him more than I does fear his attack. ;D
I seek a meeting with the would be Pirate Blade,...
Surely his slice can find me!

Let it be known that the Minbari did not want to disengage. However, for whatever reason, Blade has been absent from answering hailing attempts. My fear is that if I did fight, Blade would again be absent and the battle would be done with a player like D'Fly and/or Warp flying in Blades steed (more than I am bargaining for).
I would like to propose (not for this game of course because we are mid-game) that if a player is absent with dereliction of duty, the AI will fly for that player.
We all know that the AI is a predictable flyer and the battle would be easier for the other player. By having the AI fly, the absent player would get a penalty of sorts for not showing up. As the system is set up now, being an absent player gives you a bonus.
Example: I am attacked by Warp. I feel that I can not beat him in the hypothetical battle so I ignore all attempts to schedule a battle. The battle takes place with available players and the only ones who show up are Warp, D'Fly, Mav, and Shalafi (the usual crew who shows). The rules state that if I am not there the other pilot must be at a skill level equal to mine. In this scenario, all pilots are better than me. So...D'Fly and Shalafi are chosen to fly for me and Mav flys with Warp. Now my chance of winning the battle has increased 10 fold! Our current system does nothing to punish a player for being absent. Yes we are all busy and have lives, families, children, parents, and maybe even pet frogs. However, we did all agree to play this game knowing what the requirements are and what are expectations would be.

The thing is that isn't how they are flown if the pilot can't/doesn't show... if it was never scheduled at all the battle DOES get scheduled with an roughly equivalent player who Will show up... ie in your case above it would be rescheduled with say Scott or Roman flying the fleet and flown on a different date (or same if equal skilled pilots are there) it will not be flown with admirals of noticably different skill levels.

I have told my brother repeatedly that he indeed has a battle that needs to be scheduled and that other people are waiting for him He does check his e-mail, like every other person does, my only guess is that has deliberately chosen to ignore it for some reason, I have no clue

Yes, we had no intentions of fighting, we are jumping on impulse 3. I didnt respond because I did not think there was an action for me to take, as you were deciding which ships entered the hex.
I will try to answer all my mails in the future.
