A general call for help from Earth,.. sent to all ships and all nations.

Comms officer,. "Word is an unidentified ship has arrived just off of Earth!"

Sheridan,. "How can that be, our picket line is solid no one can get near Earth without us detecting it!!" Sheridan pauses and a distorted look crosses his face,... "ROMULANS!"

Comms officer,.. "Negative Sir,.. the ship has no known match in our race databases,.. it is coming up as a blank Sir with no nation ID present. The vessel is refusing comms. There is only one recorded instance of this Sir,..

CYLONS,.. and they have arrived at Earth!

Sheridan looked pale,... the blood rushed from his face,..

The comms continued to crackle,.. "Mayday,.. Mayday this is Earth,...we are defenseless,.. Mayday!"

"The Los Alamos Heeds the Call for Help"


Location: Bridge Earth Alliance scientific vessel Los Alamos.

Background: The Los Alamos was one of the finest privately owned research ships ever launched. It was funded by a consortium of powerful cooperations and educational institutions over 7 years ago. Since its launch President Sheridan had tried to "acquire" the vessel, stating in times of war, such a ship with such scout like functions is invaluable to EA forces. Senate powers had thwarted Sheridan's attempts to nationalize the vessel but his army of lawyers continued the legal battle to take the ship by force.

The Los Alamos slipped quietly out of warp two sectors distant from Earth. It has been two days since the Mayday had arrived and the crew was anxious about what lay ahead. All systems had been turned off even shielding. It was hoped that the ships signature would be minimized and avoid detection of the hostile vessel near Earth.

Captain,.. "Begin long range scans of Earth"

Comms, .. "Sir we are picking up a repeating message from Earth Central Command"

Message:
To all vessels this is Earth Central Command, this section of space has been quarantined by order of President Sheridan. Any breach of Earth space out to a radius of 2 sectors is prohibited and will be prosecuted under to full power of the law. All vessels will divert to Proxima Colony immediately"

Science Station,.. "We are picking up no signs of combat at Earth" looks closer into the display,.. "We are picking up a massive vessel in Earth Orbit, unidentifiable, no known signature. Comms are active and they are communicating with Earth on the secure EA priority channel. As suspected it is highly encrypted.

Comms,.. "Shall I contact Earth?"

Captain,. "Negative,.. there is something odd going on here,.. Lets get a better look prepare a scanning probe and get it within 1 sector of Earth for a better look"


Some time later the probe reports back,... a gasp can be heard on the bridge,.. "Good God it looks like a swarm of bees around a massive beehive!"

Somehow Captian Bliegh knew this was not going to be good for his career,..
